My little bookworm
Gracie loves to read. She's currently reading through this series called The Boxcar Children and although I haven't investigated it, I'm assuming it's about some kids who have had enough of rules and regs and take off in a boxcar. Just up her alley. Last night she was telling me about the cast of characters in her new found world. One boy she mentioned was particularly intriguing because "he's 6 like me, except he's not 'and a half'."

That's so cute! I remember those books from when I was in school.
I love those Boxcar books. My Mom used to teach 1st grade and she gave all the kids a copy of a Boxcar book when the year was over.
I saw your comment at Mama Kat's and I came over to say hi :) .
I read the Boxcar books a hundred times as a kid. LOVE them.
Note to self: get the Boxcar books in a couple of years.
OH MY GOSH I loved all those books! They were so exciting, these four kids living in an abandoned boxcar. I never wondered where their parents were but they always had food and lots of adventures.
I LOVED the Boxcar children books. Gracie and I can start a book club. Of course there will be wine...so can she be the DD?
Oh, does she mean Benny? Because Owen often remarks at how Benny is sort of like him except Benny cries a lot and of course Owen doesn't do that because, hello, he is SEVEN. Not six. Phew. Anyway, O LOVES those books too :)
I can vouch for the boxcar series. I read lots of them.
