I've locked myself in. With rum and coke. Children are screaming for me and yet I remain: locked away with earplugs, singing la la la to myself and counting the minutes until DADDY!!! gets home.
Lord, please allow no fender benders along the way, make every light green and may all children and responsibilities fall to him the instant he walks in the door, allthewhile enabling him to have a fabulous attitude about it. Amen.

Don't you just love days like these? It is amazes me sometimes that we are not all alcoholics!!
We should write a Book of Prayers for Moms. As we enjoy our rum and cokes.

There are some days when I count the hours til a glass of wine. And I only have one!! (child, that is)
I've only recently discovered the wonders of earplugs - so far, I've only used them because of the kennel which is our next door neighbor's house. I'm busting them out tonight.
I often also use earplugs in the car. I can still hear everything, it just takes the edge off. Much like a rum and coke, which would be frowned upon while driving. ;)
