I did my time for SIX LONG YEARS in a 1998 minivan that could be mistaken for about 14 billion others (including my cousin's and I really only did this so I'd no longer try to carjack her at family functions). I swore I'd never own one & my long ago self even made up a song about my hatred of the minivan. It was pretty catchy. It was adaptation by immersion and practicality and I admit now that I have little to no hatred of minivans, excluding the one we owned. It had a lot to do with the bombs that would go off daily inside of it. I've already threatened lives, the watching of all things entertaining and the tasting of anything delicious if old car habits remain inside pretty new car. I guess it's time for me to have a similar talk with the kids.
Now if only I could get thousands upon thousands of people to send me a dollar, I'd be set.

Your headline made me think of that Cadillac commercial "I think those researchers need time with a different kind of woman" *barf*
Anyways, I am psyched over the new ride and have to brag that I got to ride in it first with you!! Ha ha ha.
Pretty! I'd love to sit in it and use the cupholders for a nice, cold Starbucks. We don't even have to go anywhere...
So glad you were able to do this. Thanks for helping to stimulate the economy.
Hi T.T.
I read your blog back in February when you first started, and haven't had time since. I spent the precious nap time reading all of the archives today. I laughed outloud so many times! I'm going to have to become a regular reader and poster! Congrats on the new car! Cute. So glad you stepped away from the minivan. I, too, was always a hater of minivans and swore I would never have one--even after you got one! Now that we have two giant carseats, however, that minivan is looking more and more appealing! Especially that one that has the table in the back. I am envisioning the kids able to color and blissfully play games together while making the three hour trek home from Anchorage! Then real life comes back, and it would probably be, "Maaahhhm, Marcus is on my side of the table!" Anyway, thanks for the laughs today!
Congratulations!!! It's BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Oh, how I'd LOVE a car payment- but I am pretty content with my cute little Cavalier (no kids, so I can be a little sporty).
I HATE minivans and my husband drives one- an APV LUMINA. What in the world is THAT?!?!?! -sigh- anyway- it was all we could afford at the time. I hate it. I want him to drive a truck. He wants an Escalade. We may have to settle for a Chevy something or other.
Anywho!!
LOVE IT UP!!!
Yippie!!! But why did you wait until I left? Now I have to wait until 4-ever to see it, and ride in it, and enjoy the cupholders. Dang-it. BTW I thinks it's Yippie Kiay!...at least that's what google says! Enjoy the ride, you ex-minivan, SUV fashionista!
PS: as the daughter of my car-loving dad...those are great-looking wheels; you're rollin' in style now!
I don't know, you were really pimpin' it in that mini!! But, I am glad you got it because I will be tagging along for the Starbuck's run and I might even get two drinks to make sure I am staisfied with the cupholders!!!!
Can't wait to see it :)
Oh yah, I have 75 cents, is that close enough to a dollar???
It's pretty. Congrats! :)
nice ride! we will be inheriting our old mini-van back when we get back to the states in november. hopefully my brother has driven it into the ground so we can get something new!
Woo Hoo! Congratulations on the new vehicle (but not the new note....)!
And I'm so with you on everyone sending a dollar. Only, to my address, please! =P
There's just something about a new car that makes you feel so good. And that is one sharp car, too! Congrats!
I love it, I bet it has that nice new car smell! Unlike my gross car smell:) Let me know how your kids do with keeping stuff out of it!
8-seater, right? We have the 7-seater Toyota Sienna and LOVE it, but if I want an even half-dozen children we're going to have to trade up to something that seats 8, and betcha I'm looking at it!
SO happy for you and it's even more beautiful in person. Congrats!!
Just seeing that car makes me want to buy a new house.
